About the Image

A great deal of time and attention has been spent developing this collection. Some of these images show the wear of time, and some reveal to us that the art was not quite as sharp and precise as it is today. Each image does, however allow us to let our imaginations return to those earlier times of struggle, victory, ingenuity, and thrift.
