Lower East Side Vintage Photograph - There is nothing like the hustle and bustle of the lower east side of Manhattan. This vintage photo dates back to 1900. Now it is populated with yuppies and students, but back then it was filled with immigrants looking for a better life. It is one of the oldest neighborhoods in New York City. About the Image
Each image is matted behind an "old" and slightly distressed frame, and put under safety plexiglass. We also offer each image unframed. A great deal of time and attention has been spent developing this collection. Some of these images show the wear of time, and some reveal to us that the art was not quite as sharp and precise as it is today. Each image does, however allow us to let our imaginations return to those earlier times of struggle, victory, ingenuity, and thrift.
